Privacy Policy

Effective: August 28, 2026
DropWon is designed to process shopping requests locally in your browser and to collect as little information as reasonably necessary.

1. What DropWon does

DropWon is a user-initiated browser extension that helps users identify specific products and variants they request on compatible online storefronts and add available selections to the user’s cart. DropWon acts only after the user chooses to run an extension action. The user reviews the cart and completes checkout directly with the retailer.

2. Information DropWon accesses

To provide its shopping-assistant functionality, the extension may access the URL and domain of the store the user is actively visiting, product information displayed or returned by that storefront, product and variant availability information, and cart responses needed to carry out the user-requested action.

The extension may also process the product descriptions, colors, sizes, quantities, and other shopping instructions that the user intentionally enters into DropWon.

3. Local storage

DropWon uses Chrome local storage to save the user’s Drop List, recent matching or cart results, and limited run diagnostics on the user’s device so the extension can function between popup sessions.

4. What DropWon does not collect

The current beta does not collect or store payment-card numbers, retailer account passwords, health information, precise location information, personal communications, or creditworthiness information. DropWon does not complete purchases or process retailer checkout payments.

5. Transmission and sharing

Shopping-list contents and general browsing activity are not transmitted to DropWon developer servers in the current beta. When the user runs DropWon, information needed to search for requested products, retrieve product details, and perform cart actions may be exchanged directly with the retailer the user is visiting as necessary to provide the requested functionality.

DropWon does not sell user data. DropWon does not transfer user data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or purposes unrelated to the extension’s stated shopping-assistant functionality.

6. Retailers and third-party services

Retailer websites and services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. DropWon is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify or any retailer. Retailer inventory rules, purchase limits, queues, checkout controls, and other requirements continue to apply.

7. Security and retention

DropWon limits access to storefront information to what is reasonably necessary to perform the user-requested feature. Local extension data remains in the user’s Chrome profile until the user clears it or removes the extension, subject to Chrome’s own storage behavior.

8. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

DropWon’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data accessed through Chrome extension permissions is used only to provide or improve the prominent user-facing functionality described in this policy.

9. Future paid membership

If DropWon introduces paid subscriptions, license activation, accounts, analytics, or additional data processing, this Privacy Policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before those features are used to collect additional categories of personal information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as DropWon changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
